Easy engineering choices like an Autobot/ Decepticon head that hides in the chest of the main body would suffice. Leg panels to flip different designs in both modes would be great as well. If they can pull off different alt modes of course if would be the best. Lol. Maybe Im expecting too much from Hasbro. hmmm.

Counterpunch from TFCC wasn't terrible - but neither was he terribly stand-out, either. And tbf, that's part of the Breakdown/Sunstreaker mold; assuming we are talking about a combiner limb mold, it's extremely unlikely we'll see Counterpunch able to swap his head for Punch's.

True, we could be talking about a severe retool, or even a new mold - but given that this is in the same general category as Blast-Off, I doubt that's likely.

OTOH, if my guess about Repugnus is correct and we get a third iteration of the Twinferno mold ... hmm. Possibilities ...

Yeah, that's cool and all but I'm still over here waiting for that Deluxe Wreckgar that was leaked during TR.

 

I had assumed that would have been a POTP exclusive, not TR.

Part of me hopes it’s TFCC’s Counterpunch, but another part doesn’t because I already own and love it.   If it wss actually designed as Punch(whose name I’m sure is trademark lost cause) to go with Counterpunch I’d be beyond stoked.

 

He was leaked as part of TR, as a Walgreens release, but never materialised.

 

The only vehicle TR figure without a repaint/retool is Hot Rod. Hmmmm.

 

Punch/Counterpunch would have made for a great TR figure, IMO. One head goes into the TR bathtub gun to "hide" when not in use and have a mold with some changes to allow changing it into the other character. Hot Rod with some mold changes would have worked really well.

Actually thought about this. I think Dead End and the Breakdown/Streaker mold could both do it. Double sided head. The legs can be used either way(tho one side would lose knee artic without a mod) The only retool change would be to add a swivel/pin to the combiner peg cover plate. Make it two sided, one blue and one yellow. Sunstreaker actually has molded details on both sides of his already.

 

If I was doing Counterpunch, I'd do him from TR Chromedome with two different Titanmasters

 

As said above the product number looks plausible and Mr Nevermore has translated it into a UPC (how I don't know) so it's looking Kosher.

Hopefully it actually has the autobot/decepticon swapping gimmick unlike the crappy TFCC CW redeco.

 

Has there been any other mold similar to the Universe Streaker/Sideswipe that can give two different bot modes depending on the transformation? Honestly the first TFCC Punch/Counterpunch was a great toy that really got screwed over by a small head.
