Thanks all again for the positive and encouraging feedback. I really hope to use up my left over pieces to do it one more time in a different style and color while refining my process. I'll update on this thread once I have that done up.

Beautiful custom and very ballsy indeed to use a rare prototype for such a custom.

I really hope MMC sees this, also makes a version and gives you full credit for it. Because it's so good that it simply deserves to be released.

 

Seriously, nice. Wish I could get my hands on a clear version for this.

Seeing how well this turned out, I'm tempted to do something similar with a pair of Invisibles now, but the translucent version I have is so tight, I can't imagine it coming apart easily.

There is a link at Tfw2005 about 500 of "these" being given away at TFcon? There is no mention about your custom on the main page:

Hi All,

Daimchoc is correct! I had the fortune of working with OcularMax to have my custom made into a very limited production run of 500 world wide and released at TFCON 2016.

The final product of course will vary slightly as all of the orange scan lines on the custom you can see are hand painted and have that texture to it. The mainstream release will be machine produced to exactly the details I have in the custom thanks to some crazy masks and screens produced at the manufacturer.

But of course being machine produced, a lot of the textures and feel of the original custom I made will be missing. But never the less hard to distinguish unless you look carefully.

The photos in the post from TFCON were my original photos as there is a slight delay in getting the official product pictures. Those should come shortly and be posted as an update when available.

The original custom will be displayed at TFCON 2016 and the Official Package will have a very distinguishable signature giving me credit for the work I've done, so no foul play by Ages Three and Up, Ocular Max or TFCON on this one.

Thanks for the support on this one guys. Without the humbling comments on here as well as Daimchocs' facebook release of these photos, I don't think I would have ever gotten this incredible opportunity to have my art produced for the public (as I would've never parted with my original custom).

I just barely collect MP's, and don't bother with third party MP, but I would love to have one of these. Absolutely stunning.
