Ill take my bumblebee mask, tyvm
I didn't read the whole article, but are we going to be getting these when we go to the theatre, or do we have to buy them elsewhere?
From the sound of it, we would have to buy these separately. And from the cost of another pair of their 3D glasses on their site ... they will not be cheap. A similar pair sells for $150! No thank you!
...seriously? Oakley is selling glasses for us to wear when no one can see us, in the dark, holding another pair that came free with the ticket?
Whoa. My brain just lapped itself.
Yep, $150. You can order them here: Oakley Limited Edition Transformers 3D Gascan Eyewear available at the online Oakley store
Ooo, good call. I'll add that to the FP Post.
Oakley.com, amazon.com, sunglasshut.com, etc. I'll try to get a pair to add to the collection. One can never have too many Tranformers related items.
These are the same exact glasses they tired to market as "TRON LEGACY 3D Glasses" last fall. Same design and everything! What a bunch of scam artists.
Yeah... right ...
They should have given these away at the HoF ceremony, LOL
The pictured glasses are the TRON glasses. No images of the DOTM glasses have been released yet.
Please pay attention- it says so right there in the article!
EDIT: article has been updated with a link to the image of the actual glasses.
can you swap out the lenses for non-3D sunglasses? I'd consider that, I had a pair of Oakleys for a few years, by far the best sunglasses i ever had...
I hope this doesn't tread into violation of forum policies, but I read an article a few weeks ago(which I can't find atm) which was talking about the shift in the marketing industry that has occurred over the last decade moving away from marketing to the shrinking middle class in favor of marketing to the people who have all the money. These glasses are just a sign of the times imo.
Epic fail Oakley......epic fail
Is Transformers shot in True 3D or just the CGI stuff gonna look good?
I have a problem with movies that are adapted to 3D. The regular scenes are so dark. It makes it tough to watch.
DOTM was shot with 3D cameras, using the same crew from "Avatar". Trust me - the one guaranteed thing about this movie is that the 3D will blow you away.
We saw the 3d promo reel at the Botcon Hall of Fame ceremony. I have no reservations calling it the best 3d I've ever seen in a film. It was awesome without feeling like a gimmick, and very, very smooth and easy on the eyes.
