Most sought after? Not even. Much as I want 08 BB, I can think of a fair few figures I want more. He isn't even my most sought after movie figure >_>
It's not exactly sold out EVERYWHERE either, since it hasnt even been released in most places yet. I guess it's probably close to sold-out everywhere it's been released. I love ebay ads, there just so full of honesty... er I mean half-truths... er lies, it's all lies!
true. Too bad he just got it now because stores are getting more shipments of series 2 now. That is sad.
yeap. looks like he plucked the latest and greatest, then tossed them on eBay. I'm surprised nobody on TFW is nailing this guy with the "scalper" tag.
I think you guys are going a little over-board by screaming 'scalper'. It's not like he bought up all the BBs in every store in his town and put them all up on ebay for 3 times their retail price (which is what I would consider a scalper) He did start the auction at retail price and let it go from there. If ebayers are willing to pay more than thats their decision.
im going by the fact he has 8 posts total and wrote his item description like every other scalper on ebay..... hard to find, rare, one chance opportunity and so on and so forth
Dude, its crazy what some people are starting bids at. Upwards of $70 with $20 shipping fees? I can understand that kind of mark up on a PS3 but a $12 action figure?....No..
Well I laughed about that as well but it hardly says "I'm a scalper" to me. More like "I'm really trying to hype this toy, please let some impatient person snap this up for a fortune because they're too impatient to wait a couple weeks"
i would say scalping is simply the act of buying a toy at retail with the sole purpose of selling it at auction for a higher price. This usually entails buying up new or low stock at brick and mortar stores and going to ebay with it. not the most horrible thing in the world, god knows ive done worse. But i would say that fits you in a scalper category. i was always curious though how much could they possibly make off that? unless they got a store connection that just sells em stuff from wal mart right off the pallet it just seems like more trouble than its worth. Even if you make back ten bucks a figure, you still gotta pay ebay fees and ship the damn thing and check walmart all the damn time. i probably could have worked an hour at a job that pays 10 bucks an hour by then
People couldn't sell mass produced toys at 3.5 times retail if there wasn't someone willing to pay it.
im not condemning the practice, im just callin it like i see it! Yay! Capitalism! Im all for it, i would do the same thing if i had the time and patience
