NYCC is around the corner so let's try and figure out what the TF exclusive will be this year. *Tox-En Bulkhead First Edition Repaint *Nemesis Prime Optimus First Edition Repaint with Silas mini figure *Repackage of Ultimate Opponents BB and Starscream What do you guys think?
When I was at the Hasbro booth at SDCC, some of the Hasbro guys said that they wouldn't be going to NYCC this year, and that SDCC was going to be the only convention they do. I'm not exactly sure what they mean, since I figure Hasbro may still show up and do a panel at NYCC, but maybe they mean that they won't have the Hasbrotoyshop booth at NYCC where they sell toys and stuff.
This is a snipet from The Terror Drome's qna with hasbro at SDCC: TTD: So they're more of hasbrotoyshop exclusives then San Diego Comic-Con? DD (Derryl DePriest): Ahh. Well they are Comic Con exclusives but, they're only available either here or right after the show on hasbrotoyshop. TTD: But it's something you do for Hasbro Toy Shop then the con itself. It's not something the con demands you have a G.I. Joe DD: It's really one and the same. So, Hasbro Toy Shop will only go to one convention a year. So, last year we went to New York Comic Con. We're not going to that any more. We're just focused here and it's because of the kind of economies and scale. It's a big operation. A lot of folks. So we need to make sure the crowd is there. and it's really, this is the only show that does that so we 're just focussed on here. So when we decide to come here we need the product range to really support and make sure that financially, we're showing Hasbro importantly that it's a good investment to come here for the fans. So it's kinda one of those things were it started small but its become kinda big. and it's become our only focus for shows. Wasn't last year the only TF exclusive they got anyways? ...and is it not still available on hts?
Bummer. If they did it however I was hoping they can make a Terrorcon Skyquake like in the show like how Cliffjumper has one in SDCC. Oh well there's always next year's SDCC.
