NYCC 2009 Coverage: Marvel Transformers Crossovers

 

Will any new Transformers be shown here?

 

I hope so, NYCC might be better then Toyfair for RotF-related stuff.

EDIT: Besides, looks like this is the Marvel only stuff. Hopefully we'll see the real TF stuff later.

Brown Costume Wolverine?!? Wow! Didn't see that coming at all!

IMO, I think it would of looked better in his new X-Force colors.

 

Iron Man + Spider Man combining set sounds fun.

 

Is that the repaint or the original under bad lighting?

Seriously, that's not much of a repaint. Same paint job.... store exclusive, perhaps?

 

Iron Man looks sweet while Spidey not so much. I hope he's more posable than his bike version. I also see they might remold the head and have his rotors be sword like to have a Deadpool repaint.
But, Hasbro, where is the Iceman repaint of Human Torch and Dr. Doom turning into a gunship? We need more villains.

 

I don't think that we would see it at this convention, but I really hope that there is a repaint of Thor somewhere down the line. They completely killed him with that awfull paint job.

 

Neat. I REALLY like that combiner.

 

Carnage is killing me. Carnage ISN'T a red version of Venom. The head is ALL WRONG.

Carnage doesn't, and never has, had the "razor teeth and prehensile tongue" look.

 

Pass on Wolverine repaint, though my brother is definitely going to get that Spidey/Iron Man combiner. Really wish Carnage could've gotten a remolded head though.

 

Same reason Ultra Magnus has been relegated mostly to a white Optimus and Cliffjumper to a red Bumblebee...easy, cheap repaint fodder.

Not that I don't agree with you at all, I'd have bought Carnage if it had've been a new mold. I think even just a remolded head would have looked goofy on the Venom body.

 

I'll probably pick up the brown Wolverine, I've always liked those colors better than the blue.

I think Carnage would've worked better if he was a Spider-Man repaint with the missiles remolded into axes.

 

pass on the Wolverine since I already have the other one and I like those colors better, and the Iron Man/Spider-man thing looks kind of....ehhhh....stupid.

 

Peaugh called it. Brown costume repaint.   I'm glad though, cause I've been to every freakin' store in my area and they sold out of Yellow and Blue Wolverine and haven't gotten any more in, so hopefully if I can't land that guy I'll be able to pick up this repaint. I'm hopeful with Marvel Crossovers; soooo much better than Star Wars. Fingers crossed for that trend to continue.

 

A Spider-Man/Scarlet Spider combiner would be awesome. Have them change into jets or something, then combine into a giant spider robot.
