What'd they say? I put a Joker up last night, and he's not been taken down yet, although I called it "Movie Clown Jokey" ;)

That totally sucks they took your auction down!!:wtf:  I understand and respect Warner Bros. (and any toy maker) position concerning copyrights, but it's not like your crankin' out thousands of these. I don't think they will go bankrupt over a custom! Great lookin' figure you made, too bad they won't even let you get some worldwide ebay exposure!:2c:

Thanks every one for the compliments. So after a few back and forth e-mails, just EVERYONE try to avoid doing WB customs. Also Star wars customs seem to be a problem.

I was thinking of selling my Movie Masters Joker in sealed box, and offering this as a "free" gift.

What was your auction title? Maybe you can allude to it being a Joker Custom without actually saying Joker or Movie master. I also think what you put in the subtitle doesn't come up in the search, so you maybe able to be vague on your main title and more clear on your subtitle.

This is sick, I bet transformers are next. Guess if I do any custom figures to sell I need to take them to the Junkion forum.

Yeah, there's still a ton of 'em there! Maybe DC is gonna make a nurse version and that's why they are pulling yours? Yours IS the only nurse custom on there!!

Yeah mine is still up, I keep fearing that it'll get pulled at any moment, although I bet once I get closer to the end it might be more likely to get dumped.

Yeah man. I am not sure what makes them pick and choose. So just be careful. It will jack up your account.

    Ebay:
I've been inspired by this custom. I've started my own Nurse Joker.

I am using some parts from the X3 Phoenix (modified chest, upper arms, torso), but the rest are from several other figures in order to keep the height pretty close to the original DK Joker figure and to make sure the legs and arms are a little more manish.

Thanks for the inspiration! I hope my Nurse Joker comes out as nice as this one.

Cool. I know it will look better. I would like to do another one with more manly arms and legs, but, the Joker os pretty scrawny. I would like to put a longer skirt on him though.

I'm using parts (lower arms and lower legs and sneaker feet) from a Ann O'Brien Figure. They're larger than typical female parts but nowhere near as bulky as many male superhero parts, so it's a good fit for the size of Heath Ledger's Joker. I'm also using modified Marvel Legends Yellowjacket legs, which will be covered up down to just above the knees by the skirt I'm sculpting.

Wow, I can't believe it got pulled... I was bidding before as well. Could that mean they have it planned, or are they jealous of your idea? Hmm.

And I see you did the detonator! Excellent!

I FINALLY was able to grab me a MM Joker at retail :D

Yea that totally sucks. I had a custom Batman figure I did a while back get yanked as well. They where like it violated copyright laws. I sent them mass amounts of emails stating it did not violate any laws as it was a original custom. I paid for the orginal pieces made something new out of it and was selling it. Wasn't even selling it for a fortune. I just wanted to get my money back. Just something i did for fun. I got no replies to my emails other then one from Ebay saying that is that and tough. No replies EVER from DC/WB. So as much as i love Batman I will never do another custom for that line. I honestly think they has some a**hole watching the customs and he has ones he does not like yanked down.

    That's so perturbing.

No, Transformers are cool. It's WB that are pulling this according to encline - Hasbro have said officially that they're fine with people selling custom figs. They don't like custom boxes though, with their trademarks on, presumably largely because they're so easily open to misuse and fraud.

    I love it when I'm right :D

(as far as the custom goes anyways, not an auction win unfortunately)
