I've never heard of a convention in Sweden before, so this is great news for our fellow TF fans in Northern Europe. I can't wait to see pictures!
We've had a handful gatherings going by the "Mini-Con" label in the Nordic countries already, including one in Sweden, but none of them have attracted more than 8 people (that's why we call them Mini-Cons ). We're aiming for a few dozen this time though. (Well, you've got to start somewhere...)
hee.. i'm so waiting about this.. hee.. this will be one Huge Road Tripp for me.. oh yeah.. just even thinking about, i will start this tripp in small willage named Vieremä in almoust middle of the Finland and i will go to Arlöv near to Malmö in Shouthern Sweden.. *i wonder how many kilometers i ill hunt down in that one weekend.. *
We've just had confirmation that Hasbro Nordic supports this event, which is the first time in Northern Europe. The only Hasbro support gatherings and conventions has had before in Europe was in the UK and the Netherlands.
[floatleft][/floatleft] Yes, it has finally been confirmed! Through some excellent work from NTFA administrator Fighbird, the NTFA Mini-Con in Arlöv, Sweden, will have the world's first official screening of episode one of the new Transformers Animated series!!! It has been placed in the convention schedule, along with a discussion after the screening.
Thanks! I think it's the biggest thing Hasbro has ever done for us ppl up here in the north, and we actually have steady contact with Hasbro Nordic, who hooked us up with this, and more
Upon arrival, each attendant will receive a free Movie Deluxe toy with an exclusive numbered NTFA Mini-Con convention sticker! These are handed out at random, and none of them are available in any Nordic stores yet! We'll keep handing them out until they're all gone, and they are sponsored by the very friendly and supportive people at Hasbro Nordic!
An amendment to BigPete's post: We will reserve toys for all pre-registered attendees, so they'll get a Deluxe toy even if they happen to arrive late. The remaining Deluxes will be available to attendees who pay at the door, while supplies last.
This is more awesome than it sounds, since we haven't seen 08 BB, Arcee, Dreadwind, Dropkick, Payload or Longarm here yet...
