...yes, I cheated. I actually love every Decepticon that appeared on that show.

My favorite "real" Autobot would have to be Bulkhead, which is surprising because when I'd only seen a few episodes I found him really obnoxious. He really comes into his own around late season 2. He's the most original character on the show IMO (in terms of design certainly...check out the Allspark Almanac).

 

Ratchet, hands down. He's a complete reversal from G1 Ratchet (who, among other things, is young), and he honestly kept the main Autobot team together throughout the series. He confronted his wartime scars (by taking back the EMP and pretty much kicking Lockdown's ass), he saved Sari's life in Transwarped, he stole back the Magnus Hammer, and was Omega Supreme's "imprinter".

And to think I bought him early on in the series (before he started being the awesome old guy) simply because I needed a medic. Helps that I love his toy so much.

Come on, Lockdown? The completely new, badass bounty hunter who dealt it out and fucked with people on a huge level as well as never being caught? Loved his voice, too. And he was a NINJA!

All the Decepticons get honorable mentions. All of them were so awesome.

 

Holy hell, how could I ever forget Swindle?

Sorry Prime, but you're gonna have to settle for a close second.

 

Prowl and Lockdown, the two characters who never acted slapstick or goofy.

 

Fanzone. Always Fanzone

 

Gotta say Prime. He has great character development throughout the series, from down on his luck and frustrated, to triumphant, battle-tested hero.

Plus, while my three-year-old nephew was watching "Transform and Roll Out" he looked back at me, pointed to Optimus Prime and said, "I like that guy. He's a good guy." Yeah, I agree.

I really miss this show. I wish they'd to a new two-hour movie or something. What a shame.

Now that I have thought about it for a while... I regretfully say Sentinel Prime. He was a major jackass and all, but I always love watching episodes with him in them. Plus he was the must have, can't wait to get toy on my list.

 

the cons were absolutely perfect, shockwave was the most efficient decepticon EVER, megatron was perfection, and i absolutely loved blitzwing
