... how's the world going to react to TFs (and more on the way!) living amongst us?
fear, anger, wonder, acceptance, paranoia, joy. a mix of these.
Opposition and gradually growing resentment?
bowing down to our new robotic overlords
I think they'll cover it back up by the time the third film rolls around.
It was all swamp gas.
I'm sensing the 3rd movie will have a bit of X-men feel, like the humans wanting to banish them - or imprison/kill them, even with the good they do.
Maybe not the main plot point but it will be there, not just with one guy like in RTOF.
Yeah that's what I was thinking - a human v. Autobot tension.
And the Autobots are finally forced to leave Earth.
The cat was out in movie 1 and nothing happened.
If there are still Decepticon attacks post-Egypt, with the Allspark gone, the Sunsucker destroyed, the Fallen killed, Megatron & Starscream potentially elsewhere...then I'd imagine people would react like Galloway did: they're here because of you, so go away and they won't be a problem for us anymore. It'd be potentially naive and dangerous to ungraciously dismiss robots who've saved your collective asses (especially if there's still something on Earth that the Decepticons may want), but not surprising.
This... I want to see the plot of TF3 be the humans driving the Transformers off the planet.
Finally, a supporter!
I'd love to see an emotional scene of Bumblebee bidding Sam goodbye as the Autobots leave the Earth once and for all - after Prime decided that the war between humans and TFs isn't worth it.
... thus leaving Earth open to the Decepticon threat!
Or Grimlock as a new leader of renegade Autobots.
Personally, I think it would be cool to have the Auobots react differently to the new human awareness/interest element, and create tension there.
For example, Ratchet could be sort of an "official" spokesman, and share the basic knowledge of the Transformers with the scientific/educational communities. Sideswipe could be the "celebrity", soaking up the fame, appearing at car shows, etc. Ironhide could hate the new attention and feel the others are "selling out" by being so involved with the attention.
They could even disband until whatever threat arrives, forcing them to reunite and fight together.
I get the feeling the third movie will be something like the 1986 one. Autobot City on Earth, lol.
i agree w/ autobots leaving earth. very dramatic. but if that happens then we all know the cons will strike earth, maybe due to earths massive amounts of energy(wind, hydro, etc.) that can now be converted into energon cubes. autobots see the earth is starting to resemble dying cybertron. and the people are all like "oh autobots save us!" but theyd be like "how can we when optimus left because he had a just as big bloodlust as megatron!" I digress. now theyd have to be more in disguise than ever!
Well I see the "gives us your technology" angle.
For that matter more Autobot immigrants. Also a Movieverse version of the Concurrence as an opposition to NEST. Perhaps some remnants of Sector 7. Business interests that benefited from the technology patents derived from Megatron.
Anybody else wishing for a Movieverse Swindle that actually sells tech to the fleshies for protection and asylum?
i could see the autobot turning over some non weapons tech in return for permission to remain on earth withe proviso if the cons come back the autobot have to deal wioth them post haste, my other idea is the autobot are allowed to build a base on the moon and sam and Mikeala relocate there and have a daniel XD
well i want the autobots to go away from earth and then let the cons come back and take over and then they asked prime for there help..
i think it will be the offering in the 3rd film...
i am now
Too Fantastic 4, but plausable.
Humans will probably have the same reaction the government people did, that the Autobots need to share their technology or leave. Either way, there would never be true acceptance.
Shia said something about TF3 being more intergalactic or whatever, so maybe it is headed to Cybertron for the Autobots to regain the planet and route the Decepticons (lead by Shockwave). Wasn't that sort of their ultimate goal?
Of course, going by what the first two movies taught us, the Autobots wouldn't be able to win Cybertron without the human military helping.
