Since there are evidently 4 voyagers listed: Lugnut, Solar Storm, Grapple, and Strafe... and 2 of them seem likely to be repaints/remolds(Solar Storm, Grapple)... then there is a chance Strafe could be a new mold.

They are all under the HFTD line but some where designed with the intent of fitting in with generations

Grapple? I though Art Fire is better (or made Art Fire as botcon 2011 exclusive.)
We does have the target master and Inferno. Just drill a hole in the vehicle mode and job done.

I don't see the TFCC using the mold for two Botcons in a row. We might have to look for an Artfire elsewhere. We need a Jazz repainted into Stepper too!

Not at all surprising. Definitely wouldn't be the first time we've gotten certain things earlier than we were expecting. Seems like Wave 5 (Cliffjumper, Skullgrin, and Thunderwing) are the last wave of Generations, as it looks like HftD and Generations merge into one line for next year.

I'd be pretty shocked if we don't see Ricochet/Stepper 2/3 waves after Jazz.

WOW! IM SHOCKED TO READ THIS!

The only thing i can think of why hasbro is releasing them in November instead of spring is because of the TF3 stuff that will be hitting shelves around May/June. Well, i hope Takara works their glossy paint magic on these guys for December.

Jazz has an alternate head that seems more akin to guys like Rad or Jackpot. So I'd expect a remold/redeco like that or just a new guy to be the second retail use of that mold.

Ricochet/Stepper I'd more expect as a third use as a store exclusive down the line. Hopefully like in a 2-pack with a Cyclonus repaint so he can just take Nightstick as his own away from Cyclonus.

Or maybe, Hasbro is using both to pump out as much as they can as fast as they can. We still got Kup, Arcee, scourge, Wreck-gar, G2 Prime, and whoever else they've managed to keep under wraps.

I don't think that version of the mold was successful enough to warrant a US release. Both BBTS and TFSource have them on clearance and it has been out a while now.

I still think that Solar Storm isn't a subtitle being used for Grapple and that they just forgot the coma, but it'll all be cleared up once they put up the pre-orders.

That's definitely a possibility. Would be a very crafty way to get more Generations figures out in less time. Not fully sure it's something Hasbro would come up with, but we'll just have to wait and see. If it is true, than I'll be surprised if the Bumblebee listing isn't for a movie figure.

I figure it's mostly just a case of Hasbro's designers just getting loose and making a lot of Generations toys because they're fanboys and weren't following the toy needs of some media.

So... ended up with more "Generations"-style toys and less "Yellow box"-style toys, so some Generations figures are going to pad out the waves/case assortments of the Yellow box line/or the lines are merging and generations won't be separated anymore soon.

It doesn't bother me that Breakdown is now spelt Brakedown for toy purposes.

I prefer these re-spells over "couldn't get the name" alternatives like Tankor and Darkmount.

Though maybe the "add a word" route is better, as in 'Autobot Jazz', and 'Turbo Tracks'.
