I'm an assistant manager for a convience store....not a glamous job, but it pays the bills! Anyway apparently this past Saturday.... The Closing Shift Clerk came in...and when he saw that the Middle Shift Clerk had not taken the trash out! the dude completely flipped out! Kicked over an outside trash can...sending trash all over the parking lot. He then proceeded to knock over a snack cake display inside the store. The whole time he is ranting and screaming at the Middle shift Clerk, and sent her running from the store. After the mid shift cleark left, and at some point he broke the printer for the register! Anyway my boss...took it before the big boss....to...at the very least get the guy transfered to another store. They did nothing... she doesn't feel the Closing Clerk did anything wrong! I'm sorry....when did this kind of acting become acceptible for a business! I've always tried to remain professional at work....even when I'm pissed! WTF!!!
A guy at work yelled out "Fuck!" one day, a customer heard him over the phone a couple cubes away. He was instantly fired.
Same shit happens where I work (Office Depot). I have very little faith or patience for the fools I work with, especially with their childish behavior.
Dude, I work at an Office Depot near New Orleans. I feel your pain. The insanity that goes on there, it's...uh...insane. Haha. Guy was giving like hundreds of dollars of discounts on furniture orders and then having a frined of his assemble the furniture. Everyone knew but it took like a year for him to get fired.
so who is this guy in respect to yourself? is he level with yourself as in being an assistant manager or a lesser member of staff.. if he's level have a word, say its bothered you and that you're concerned about him blowing up like that (could be ourside work stress kinda thing) If hes lesser... have a quiet word yourself - again making it look very much a concern ... but also a bit more official... either way - he'll know he went a bit far... since it sounds like your bosses don't really give a toss
how to put this.... he is one beneath me on the totem pole! my boss... did have a quiet talk with him, and he did apologize to the other girl!
dude, seeing what i have at convenience stores, if i was a manager and saw a garbage can freak out, i wouldn't sweat it all that much. southwest side of Montgomery, AL scared the hell outta me. First real time being out on my own, i stopped at a convenience store for gas and gut bombs. well, i pumped the gas and walked to the door, but didn't notice the clerk backing away from me and reaching for something under the cabinet. that store had been robbes so many times, it had that double paned glass and a sliding metal tray you paid through. you had to point to the food and stuff you wanted. that woman i still believe today was reaching for a gun. if things are that bad, i don't have the balls to work at a gas station, much less tolerate extra work being dumped on me.
