There will be a mini convention in our house on november 11, and anybody from the nordic countries (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland) is welcome. Free dining and lodging, and perhaps most importantly: a free exclusive figure to anybody who attends. A little known fact is that stunticon drag strip was actually based on the 1976 Tyrrell P34 six-wheeler formula one car. Considering drag strip's diaclone prototype heritage, this real world colour scheme is long overdue. There will be less than 15 figures produced, and as previously mentioned, it is completely free. Here's the prototype and tech spec + bio. It will come in a G1 style box. Robot mode and an extended "universe" style bio will be unveiled at the "mini-con" DECEPTICON DOWNFORCE FUNCTION: INTERCEPTOR "Only unity and a strong leader can maintain order" DOWNFORCE no longer speaks with his brother MIRAGE after defecting to the Decepticons for ideological reasons. Uses extreme speed to flank enemies on the battlefield. Holo-displacer allows him to project two images of himself to deceive his opponents. Wields a rapid fire armor-piercing dart handgun when he gets in range. Is often hesitant to carry out the brutality expected from MEGATRON. STRENGTH 6 INTELLIGENCE 8 SPEED 9 ENDURANCE 4 RANK 6 COURAGE 5 FIREPOWER 6 SKILL 8 so whaddaya think? and before you ask: YES, I hope this can be the first part of a 5-member combiner team. One combiner member per mini-con. In case any of you want to re-sell the figure, it will include a certificate of authenticity from all the mini-con attendants. Just in case anybody tries to do a replica. Although that will be a difficult thing to do
I live in Atlanta, and will probably never see this in person Which is a shame, because it looks awesome.
Well, all Aryans are welcome, no matter the residence. I'm JOKING of course. Although it's a convention for people from the nordic countries, others are more than welcome. If you come all the way from the US, you certainly deserve a figure!
Same here, well about 45 miles from ATL, but still, we'll never see this probably. And I second that it looks awesome.
Thanks for the kind words. Although I must say that only the concept and bio was my creation. The actual work was carried out by others. There will also be one more convention exclusive figure, most likely to be awarded as a contest prize at the mini-con. I promise that one won't disappoint either, but you will all have to wait until nov. 11 to see what it is for more details, check http://www.ntfa.net
