This is my first time selling things online and I was wonder how to receive payments using paypal, and if it's even possible with a personal account. Any help would be great :)

Try looking through the Help section on the Paypal website first. That might answer some of your questions.

    Ebay:
people send money to an email addy that you have connected with your paypal, then the money goes to paypal and that's it.

that's the simplest way of putting it. but the Help section at the website is a bit more detailed.

Bear in mind that money received via Paypal goes into your Paypal account - if you then want to transfer it to your actual bank account, be prepared for not only a wait time, but also a fee. Not a problem if you just use it to then spend more money through paypal, but if you want cash in hand there's a little price.

I dont have to pay any fee to transfer to my bank account...

And you get a fee when someone sends you money unless its marked as a gift (I think? They might have changed it now).

Hmm. I'm sure I had a small one.

I may be mistaken, and it was the gift/sending business you describe.

    My apologies. :)
