Not really, it just kind of rests there and the tail keeps it in place. It's fine storage and everything, but I tend to just keep the gun pegged onto Slug's back in arm mode just for convenience.

 

I'm not saying I went Nonnef purely for this fella (because technically I didn't and bought blind) but I couldn't protest if you got that impression...

The extra wing sections were bastards to get in but the results are well worth it! Be aware also that one of the warhead tolerances was out so I had to shave down then superglue one of 'em but DAYUM was it worth it!

Despite the necessary roughness of applying the wing sections, and the warhead snagging, overall I VERY MUCH recommend the Nonnef DinoGuns. A great bit of kit for the price.

Aaaand now I spot Swoop has his sword the wrong way round, the doofus!

 

Where did you get those Lightning Strike Coalition stickers, @Stryker055? I was googling around for some a week or two ago, but had no luck in my searching.

 

The reprolabels sets for the PotP Dinobots come with them. I imagine that's where Stryker055 got them.

Also Props to whoever put it out there that the grey Brainstorm blasters were ideal for Metalhawk, you were bang on!


I went ahead and extrapolated that supergluing a pair of 1x1 round Lego tiles in metallic at his Decoy Suit's ankles would help make a bit of a G1 Jet Rifle homage to boot!

 

My Metalhawk is pimped out too. I’ve got two gray Brainstorm guns (good idea with the lego parts), the Pretender shell, and the Renderform sword...

 

I got mine in, and yeah, super pleased! This is the second time i ordered from nonnef (the first was the superion thigh armor) and he still is an A+ designer! I hope he plans a set for abominus and gives cutthroat some wings! i love them! and the arm mode usage of the weapons? *kisses air* mag-ne-fic! *parden my france!*

is resign hand casting any good ? sorry off topic, Im actually looking at some small face parts for a expensive 3rd party figure that is Resin hand cast

 

renderform does resin hand casting and his stuff is top notch quality. same with dr wu stuff. those are the only two who i am familiar with that use that method though

Loving this Beast!

Even though the Swoop cannons can't be oriented offensively the really sort out that unfortunate gap left if you want a double elbow!
Plus just that wee bit of extra wing really helps even out the shoulders.

 

Dinobot Sword set now available, no pics yet. I got my order in though, along with the rifle set. Looking forward to completing arming my dinobots.
