If they ever continue the Classics toys after Generations and Reveal the Shield have wrapped up, do you think they should make toys of characters from other Transformers serieses (is serieses a word?) such as Beast Wars and A/E/C, or do you think they should stick strictly to well-known Generation One characters?

We've already had Dinobot and Cheetor from Beast Wars as well as Hot Shot from Armada in Universe 2.0, as well as a G2 inspired Optimus in RTS, but would more toys of non-G1 characters be a good thing or a bad thing? And if good, which character would you like to see as a Classics toy?

Personally, I'd love to see Classics renditions of Rattrap, Rhinox and Tigatron (I would say Waspinator and Blackarachnia if TF: Animated didn't already do them).

    Of course!

It'd be great to see more of those characters with new updates.

What I'd also love to see is brand new characters with the Classics look! All new toys tend to come along with RotF orthe HftD aesthetic so to see new characters in a more blocky, updated G1 style would be awesome.

I'd like to see more G1 interpretations of other guys. For example, thanks to the club, we now have a G1 Side Burn and IDW gave us a G1 Lockdown. Now we also have a G1 Lugnut. I actually use Universe Hot Shot as G1 Hot Shot.

It is utterly utterly essential that we keep on expanding beyond G1 with toys and media to keep the franchise fresh. Last thing we want is for Transformers to become...well...boring.

I like what they did with Cheetor, G2 Optimus and the rest of the gang so far. It would be awesome if they continue that way, but they should wrap up G1 characters first.

I haven't seen any of the DOTM toys as I'm trying to avoid spoilers. What do you mean?

I can't say that I would MIND them doing other stuff.....

Generally speaking I avoid the other stuff and stick with G1 incarnations because that is what I like. Not to say I don't buy other things on occasion...because I do....but realistically I don't have the money to buy it ALL.

I do think it's good that the line adds other things though as it will keep the line alive and fresh for a long time to come....and that I'm all for.

I would rather they concentrate on G1 and do all the essential characters before branching out and leaving things messy and hanging like they always do. A BW toy here, a G2 there...

Once the stop doing G1 characters and focus more on other series for the classic line, I'll have a lot more beer money!

I'd rather they get the important G1 characters out of the way first, but I don't mind the odd non G1 character getting some love too.

I would love some pre-Beast Wars figures. Never liked Dinobot's shovel arm so I would love to see him redone.

Aka, they already did some that were not G1.
I think what they mean by classic is they revisit classic series and remake the figures....
I hope they do BW one of these days!

I like the idea but I don't feel that many of the "newer" characters need an update- somewhere around g2 we were blessed with that articulation on some of the newer toys that we still see today - on the beastwars guys for example. Beastwars toys I think are fine the way they are - the ones I'd like to see given updates are all of g1, and then anything else that was a "brick"... And there aren't many bricks that spring to my mind outside of g1 is all. So I'm all for it, but I'd buy the "classics starsaber" before the "classics rhinox", thats all.

Yes. There's much more to Transformers than just G1.

    :lol

There's TONS of G1 characters left... They haven't even finished 1984 yet, much less the ones *I* want to see like 1987-1990.

It's a great idea. They seriously have to update some more Beast Warriors, because really, Cheetor isn't as bad as everyone says.
