Warp drives are pretty much impossible.
Warp Drives Probably Impossible After All | Universe Today
Just don't let the star trek fans find this out.
Tell that to my perpetual motion machine!
I use a hyperdrive, not a warp drive.
And if our understanding of how the universe works never changes, this will remain true. If, as has happened throughout the history of science, someone wakes up one day and says "Hang on, what if it worked like this...?" who knows what would happen. Maybe when scientists figure out where most of the universe actually is they'll find that alters our understanding of how it works.
Lots of things are impossible until we find ways around it
Yeah like how transporters were impossible. Till they weren't.
Well, here's to the year 5,00 then, when scientists figure out step 1
What about living on the sun?
Hell, it was supposed to be impossible to break the sound barrier for a while there. If there's one thing I have faith in, it's the ingenuity and indefatigability of the human spirit.
Except Americans, of course. They're too busy arrogantly eating themselves to death to ever actually accomplish anything.
Hey, we aren't actually the fattest country in the world. -.-
Yeah, so like when they find the Tformers and Cybertron scientists will be like 'WTF? Carbon-based life forms my ass!'
Evolution's on the right track. Bacteria > fish > amphibians > reptiles > mammals > monkeys > men > gods
On the other hand, if they were able to create a tiny space warp using the power from say a nuclear reactor, they could tap the thermal energy in to, create enough power for the entire planet. Assuming that the heat would be contained wihin the warp field.
*returns to my space fold generator*
Someday, a zombie from the future will appear out of nowhere & attack us, then disappear.
We'll be like whoah, wtf was that?!?
Can't explain it yet.
I cant wait to get my mr fusion and a flux capacitor man
CM should go work for the Singularity Institute and lay some knowledge on 'em.
Kurzweil has 15 degrees from 15 different colleges.
I can't touch that
It once was shown to be physically impossible for a man to run a four minute mile. now it's just impossible for guys like me.
