People wouldn't be asking if Hasbro didn't drop the ball at sdcc and just make a statement. Mirage and shockwave were the most anticipated figures from dorm and they refused to even comment. Way to go hastak!

    Ferrari is the problem.

Ferrari Requires that all of their legal merchandise that bears their logo have a cert. of auth. stamp to go with it, it has a specific serial number that correlates to their own inventory. Seems silly but that is the way they are. Still don't believe me? This is the back of Ferrari Challenge (PS3) just one specific example. So it is very likely that Ferrari and Hasbro are posturing over rights.[IMG]

it's not just Dino/Mirage that Has/Tak dropped the ball on it was the entire bloody dotm line.

first complaint: Too damned many Autobots.
In the movie the Cons outnumbered the autobots several thousand to one. in the toys, we got 12 decepticons (counting mechtech and human alliance lines) vs 34 autobots. and most of the time those cons got shortpacked. The line needed more decepticons

    second complaint: The cancelled/unneccesary toys.
Soundwave, Leadfoot, and Que got cancelled, important characters to the plot of the movie. meanwhile Jolt, Skidz and Mudflap got toys in the first two waves, and they weren't even in the damned movie.

complaint 3: Characters that never got toys
Dino never got a toy, and neither did Crowbar, Hatchet, Brains, or the Waste Management garbage truck decepticon. I would love to have three Chevy Suburbans, that transform into three wildly different robots

    complaint 4: Cast Exhaustion
the movie have been going since 07 that's nearly 8 years now, and in a continuous stream, there have always been the core cast of Bumblebee, Optimus, Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave, Blackout/Grindor, Ratchet, Ironhide, Sideswipe, Skidz and Mudflap. several of us already own several versions of these characters, their dotm toys were just one too many

and on a positive note, I don't mind the size drop, and i enjoyed the Mechtech weapons

Don't sweat it, some people can't get over themselves long enough to realize not everyone logs in here everyday.
