From going back and forth on Allspark and Tformers, most of the reports there from NYCC said something in regards to the series... Quintessons are going to show up in Transformers: Prime. Well, I'll be a moneky's butt!

That's pretty much what their backstory was in Exodus. TFs were created by Primus, while the Quintessons showed up later and enslaved them until they were chased offworld by a Sentinel Prime-led uprising.
or maybe the quintessons discovered TF's build by Primus, and build TF's based on that, and they eventually evolved into autobots and decepticons
I will be totally fine with this concept: Primus created the Transformers, the Quintessons are a race of business entrepreneurs who end up enslaving the Cybertronians some time after the disbanding of the Thirteen. They get a hold of the Well of All Sparks, and create a "caste system" of different products, they end up shaping the Cybertronians to be able to house their species to fit their various needs, and after a revolution, are driven away. But not before they tamper with the written history and attempt to declare that they are the ones who created the Cybertronian race, causing many to disbelieve in the existence of Primus.
