Like this season so far, although I've not seriously followed it for a while.

If there's another thread, sorry, I searched and got jack on results.

Saw the premiere earlier today, along with half of tonight's episode so far. Really liking the start to this season. I saw seasons 1-6 over the summer, so I'm now a fan of the show. :D

This season is shaping up to be much better than season six. The new setting is a breath of fresh air.

    Renee Walker is a cutie.

Agreed on all pints. Didn't catch the second night yet, just the Sunday opener, but 24 feels fresh for the first time in a while. I hope they keep the feeling going.

Eh, at one point last night my girlfriend turned to me and said, "This is really awful."

    I agreed.

I thought the first few seasons were fun, but this one started out trying to be a bit too serious. From the philosophically flaccid explanations for Jack's past behavior to the tired set-up of the President's administration, the show is just wearing very thin at this point. I'm going to try to look past these things and have some fun, but it certainly makes me miss good television.

I will say this, though: I am looking forward to Battlestar Galactica much more after the first four hours of 24!

I only saw Sunday's episodes... going to watch hours 3&4 when I have a chance. Hopefully later today. Love the show, I had this HUGE smile on my face just FINALLY seeing it back on the air! And even better... it's starting out really good!

They still show 24?! I thought that show was finished... (don't get me wrong, I like the show, but what a surprise to see it back on the air)

Come to think of it, I used to watch reruns of it on A&E years ago.

When they realized the writer's strike was going to make it impossible to get a full 24 eps in, they postponed last season until this year (which was probably a relief because they reportedly had a lot of trouble getting the season started - one of the false starts led to last Novembers 24 telemovie).

Until we see how Tony responded to the FBI agent who tried to "interrogate" him after Jack got ahold of him first....the deadpan glare and subsequent lack of any progress says it all. This season is clearly showing how problematic our self-imposed restrictions are in dealing with new age terrorists. It's interesting to see how the writers address them at each turn.

I think this season is far better than what season 6 was. Jack's response testimony at the beginning of Hour 1 was fantastic and revealed a small dream of mine: that someone would shove it back in the face of an arrogant prick senator for once.

I'm a big fan of the show and very happy with the turn of events thus far. I'm very curious to see where they are going with this show this season.

Did you guys notice the writers? Manny Coto and Brannon Braga. lol. It was nice seeing dr. phlox in the early episodes too. hopefully we haven't seen the last of him.

Poop. Forgot it was starting this weekend. To the torrents I go.

Can't believe I forgot -- I've been 24-deprived for far too long. Redemption was fairly meh, and didn't really help.

    He's here all week, folks!

you know I had a very Die Hard feeling from the first 4 hours....

Its a good thing I really like die hard 2, and die hard 4(yes I know all the leaps in ogic blah blah but I try to turn my brain off better for me.)

I miss Jack's brutality and awesomeness...
