Oh the tempting political tirade that is poised upon my fingertips as I type this. But I digress. I don't want to get this thread locked on you guys. He should tarred and feathered tho.

 

I guess from my perspective, I see a sad case of an individual that will never change and progress with the other billions on this planet. It's these ideals of prejudice and willful ignorance that are part of the foundation of many of the wars of the past, and including general violence around the world.

It's damned irritating, but I'm just going to ensure that my kid won't get sucked into that problem, but part of the solution long after I'm gone.

But I will say that this particular justice of the peace got great publicity: who's going to go to him now that he's put his foot in his mouth?

I once had a relationship with a black woman, but I read somewhere on the internet that interracial marriages between white men and black women is on the rise. I even seen a news report about it on YouTube.

 

I'm married to a black woman, and what this guy did was illegal. Unless there is a specific law against it, he had no right denying a marriage license regardless of his personal concerns. He absolutely should lose his job. A police officer is not allowed to enforce his personal views if they differ from what the law says. This is no different.

There was a law on the books from the 1800s in Alabama that was not repealed until about 10 years ago that made interracial marriages illegal, but it hadn't been enforced in forty years (widespread).

 

This. And then the "n" word is dropped at will behind their black "friends" back. I see this all the time, because I guess they think I'm part of the good ole boy club.

Did he jumped the gun thinking they want children? Also the last time I've been to the KKK webpage (over 10 years ago, out of curiosity) the site displayed they didn't want "intermixing" too. This guy can be a racist. Not the traditional one; not one who hates a race though.

Its been established that interracial children may have a harder time establishing identity, but what makes him think that someone who doesn't exist yet will be overwhelmed by it. Honestly 2 celebrities married will have a harder time staying together and their children may have a harder time finding genuine friends, than 2 average people of different races.

 

So do fat kids. He gonna refuse a marriage license to a couple of chunksters, too?
