Times like this I'm glad I don't watch that tripe.

I'd be laughing if they cancelled the Academy and Oscar awards...

While I believe awards shows are vile, this is another example of unions screwing EVERYONE around them(including members). I wonder how many people have lost their jobs or lost money because a bunch of writers aren't happy with their $70,000 a year salaries.

Considering that the actors and studios are making money, hand over fist as well as writers being the apparent life blood of the TV and movie industry I would say that the writers should get a bigger piece of the pie.

It's on at around 2am over here anyway, I'm usually too busy sleeping to watch, and I check out the results on the interwebs the next morning. Same drill this year!

It's the poster to one of those weird, insanely gory Japanese movies. I believe it's called The Machine Girl. The film itself isn't out yet, but the trailer's out there on the web.

You DO know those two are the same thing, right? :lol

And no, while I am not shedding tears over the Globes cancellation, I am not happy with how Hollywood politics are workings it's way into this whole debate.

I sincerely doubt the Oscars will be canceled though, but they might be severely affected.

This goes into the meh column. I don't watch the shows, and don't care about the rewards.
