does someone have him yet? i was really hoping to see some pics of this guy
Personally he's my favorite of the two 350Z brothers, and also one of my more favorite figures in the Henkei line. I dunno, the mold isn't the best, but the colors on him just reek of awesome.
I second this, i just love the more vivid and cartoon accurate colours on this fig and would certainly recommend him to anyone!
Wow... Got any pics of his alt mode?
Streak kicks ass, he is high on my list of "to get" Transformers.
Cool as hell repaint in my opinion.
So the main difference between Henkei and Universe in this case is a brighter red and chrome? Am I missing anything else?
Still torn on this one... I LOVE the figure, but I'm not sure there is enough difference between the Japanese and U.S. versions to justify getting both.
The differences between the Henkei and Hasbro versions are a brighter red, a lighter blue eye piping, silver not a blue color on the waist, a dark gray on the hood, chrome and no red hub caps--they are black.
I am getting the figure in a few weeks.
Yea pretty much its the chrome that separates them. I would just get the Universe version. I like chrome weapons alot, just not enough to justify the cost. I wish Takara would release all the weapons in a box set. I would pick that up asap.
Mine came with two left fists.
henkei streak's face is also painted silver instead of the white on hasbro's, also the faction symbol is smaller (which I think is nicer)
I donno the chrome missiles and gun are cool but unlike Prowl don't add that much over the Classics version, I think the painted silver on the Classics works just as well. I also like the black on the main body of the Classics version over the kinda dark grayish-blueish color on the Henkei. The only other big thing is the Classics version uses the ugly "allspark" blue by his hips were the Henkei is painted silver which I like. Though again unlike lets say Ironhide the allspark blue isn't "in your face" or stands out all to much so it really wasn't a big deal like I thought it was, and it seems easily fixable if you want to touch it up yourself.
So I don't know, I generally like Henkei>Classics but Silvertreak is for me a toy that can go either way as both are equally really good. With that said the obvious and undeniable difference between them is price which in this case makes the Classics a lot more attractive.
that pic of yours just sold me that fig!!
I'm too lazy to do transform pics, and I don't have a Classics one to compare with, but don't forget the Autobot insignia is different on the chest as well. Classics has an oversized one, and Henkei red and discreet. But seriously, I can't personally compare him with the classics toy, but Silverstreak/Bluestreak is just awesome Henkei or Classic... I just like this Henkei cause there isn't anything wrong with it.
Woah, I didn't even know they made a henkei Streak!
Now you know, and knowing is half the battle
the only major difference imo is the chrome apps, and a few very small paint differences that make it more cartoon accurate, i guess... i already got the hasbro version so im gonna pass on this... no change thats significant enough to warrant a second purchase
Of the three recently released Henkei, this is the only one I want. But I'm going to hold off on purchasing until BBTS has him on sale.
I have the Hasbro version but really like the Henkei charcoal colored hood and top, the silver face, the silver waist apps, and the brighter reds. The only thing that the Hasbro version has over this one IMO is the painted missiles. Otherwise Henkei Bluestreak owns the Hasbro one.
My biggest problem was the chrome spoiler. That was enough to make me settle for the Hasbro version.
Thanks for the run-down! Can't believe I didn't notice the silver face.
Unfortunately, it seems the Henkei version has taken away my favorite parts of the U.S. version: the blue on the waist, the white face, and the red hubcaps. So I'm quite content sticking with my Universe version. But this is all good stuff to know! Thanks!
