Read on another tf site big bad toy was not going to be a dealer at botcon this year. I email them to double check and they confirmed in the email that they will not be their this year but hope to return next year. That take a major dealer off the floor for this year show.

Yea they normally get 3 or 4 booths

Wow! This will be the first year that I go that there is no BBTS.

I wonder how the sales floor will look now, they usually have a nice long span of tables there.

This is why toy shows are dying out. It is far cheaper to stay home and sell your stuff online then to go to a convention. I don't know if most people realize how expensive it is for a dealer to set up at these shows. By the time you pay for the booths, hotels, truck/trailer to haul your stuff (or ship your stuff in some cases), plus food, gas, etc., you have racked up close to $2000 before you have even sold the first toy.

These big dealers can rack up even more with the multi-booths and the extra people they have to put up in hotels, feed, etc. I can definitely see where it would not be worth it to them. It's not like they need to get their name out there. Everyone knows who they are already.

Really surprised they won't be there. Oh well, I'm sure most tables will have stuff I planned on going to them for.

And it sucks. Went to the Bi-Annual local toy show this past weekend and it was the smallest I've ever seen in 10+ years. The total show was less than 1/2 what it normally is and over 1/2 of that was trading cards. :(  Hoping November's local show will be better.

This sucks. Hopefully the dealer room will be around the same size of the last few years.

TFSource should still be there. Curt usually makes a good effort to show up at all Botcons.

I am sure TF Source will be there. They usually have just as big a layout as BBTS, and they carry most of the same items, so I am sure you can find most anything you were going to get from BBTS at TF Source.

BBTS was cool because they are only one of 3 or so stores on the floor that will take credit.

Agree with this....plus I don't think they had a very good business year...or they could be playing smart, have all the botco toys already and get a jump on the comp....

Wow that really is a shame. Hopefully there will be plenty of other dealers to step up and take their place.
