I'm pretty stoked about Brunt and Sixgun coming out soon; I liked what they did with Cog. I'm really surprised by the complete lack of 3rd party upgrades for Trypticon, and even more surprised that Hasbro is giving us Brunt before any third party beat them to it.

 

Hopefully Brunt will attach right where Full Tilt does.

As for the mounted guns, I did buy a pair of Blowpipe Battle Masters to sit on the pegs holes at the top of the ramp.

Not a bad idea using Battle Masters as turrets for titans.
I'm using the Iron Factory IF-EX03S Soundwave with Buzzsaw, Laserbeak, and Ravage as my mounted guns on my Trypticon...I got lucky and stumbled on to one in the wild a few weeks after my Trypticon arrived.

 

i'll say this every time. i want arm upgrades to match WFC Trypticon's MASCLES!!! BIG MACHO!!!

that game did ruin standard trypticon for me in that aspect....

but back to the topic at hand. i need new hands for trypticon like asap. i cant believe that was never made by a 3rd party company. it seems like an easy sale.

 

Considering most upgrades are about getting things to look more accurate, how would new hands help? They were always kinda stubby nubs. At least the TR version has some wrist. elbow and shoulder articulation.

I guess I'm wondering what people would actually look for in a hand/arm upgrade?

 

i was looking for more wrist articulation since trypticon basically has none. but since the unit is all in one i just generalized it as a complete hand.

 

Ha, I was thinking about making him some gladiator gear or maybe a giant-horn and some stripey stickers...

But as is often the case, my taste in upgrades does not match the mass-market  

 

I was hoping some third party upgrade too, specially for make him bigger but until now, I decided to make my own project on it...





This is just a prototype and prove concept but can resist weight and stills transform in city and spaceship modes.

In City mode I'm still thinking about platform with ramp or repair bay, both maybe, add some cannons to make it like torrets, I don't know, any suggestions?

 

I think the real question is “no g1 third party trypticon?”

Cover those LEGO parts up with some putty and I think you’re onto something...

 

Hehehe, the final parts will be almost completely cover, sanded and painted for no easy building blocks view  

 

I second the wrist swivels, for sure. A Gigastorm-style nasal horn would not go amiss either.

 

Well, works for me, the platform with ramp is ready plus 2 little drones, now just the repair bay with radar.

 

It's done. Feet in robot mode, platform with ramp and repair bay with radar in base mode, in Nemesis mode shows two cannons from each side and I add two mini drones, one with missiles and one with a claw.

 

I would make a suggestion regarding weapon / accessory upgrades which is if someone was to do small weapons or radar dishes - perhaps they could use the siege compatibility to allow them to be used with Brunt as much as possible but also to use the general 5mm connections to allow interaction with Others too.

I think ramps would have a lot of use to make him more capable of working with Micromasters and Titan Master base modes.

Also since some will want to use Brunt with their Trypticon too - then anything that improves that feature would also be welcome - such as enhanced gun barrel or tower piece for example.

If sometimes G1 reissue pieces would be more appropriate then that isn't a bad idea either as I think some would welcome those to use with Beast Wars Second Gigastorm too; since he's missing some of the accessories compared to the original.

 

Well, after 4 days analysis, I think I get a way to improve little wings in Nemesis mode.
