wow 90 bucks? I payed 60 when it came out.... but i had it preordered.

Hmmmm alright well here's a basic breakdown. Most of it is "new" material and not just different versions of released tracks. Most of these songs are covers though, although they very definitely have a nirvana twist. There are about like 70 songs total on the the three discs plus a dvd. The dvd is pretty neat, starts with old old footage of them in high school practicing and follows all the way through their career with live and tv performances.

If you are a hardcore fan, for sure get it....... But if not then I dont know.

Most of the songs are obscure home recordings or pre-nevermind tracks so they are somewhat grainy sometimes. If you just want some of the best "new" songs on it then you can get the Sliver- best of the box album which is handpicked tracks from the box set and only costs like 12 bucks.

But the box itself and the book/biographical article by thurston moore is pretty cool too.

Got mine for like $27 when it came out... so totally worth it for a Nirvana fan. Its like hearing them in a whole new light. Or if you love how they sound live and not for a studio album.

$90? Damn dude, where are you shopping? Noticed you're in Canada, but still. Amazon.ca has it for $75 new Canadian, or $41 used. The US store has it for as cheap as $14 used, but I'm not sure if they can ship to Canada.

Would ignore what the hmv lady said and google around for some better prices.
She may have been just telling you the retail price, which is something no one pays anymore

but nirvana is hands down my favorite band..... Its funny my Ipod has like 120 nirvana songs, even though they only have 3 actual studio albums ( incesticide doesnt count and you know it, so dont try to out-nirvana geek me by correcting me)

I have the set, it's really good stuff but a lot of it isn't new, still nice to have it all in one place, and the DVD that came with it had a lot of cool stuff on it.
