It's stupid. But I'll buy one since my DSlite is crumbling into little pieces. I have a GameBoy Micro to play GBA games, and a GameBoy Colour to play GB/GBC games.

Why buy it if it's stupid? That doesn't make any sense.

I know, I just don't see why why anybody would buy a game system that they thought was stupid.

I'm still waiting to find out how the DSi will have better graphics despite being the same resolution, for that matter.

It might be able to run things at a faster rate with less slowdown, considering it has increased RAM.

I've never encountered a DS game with slowdown. The RAM is pointless except with running an Opera browser, which I don't believe you can do without a Slot 2 port. Maybe I"m wrong.

@Spyro There is no hard drive. Sorry.

The reason someone would buy it even though it's "stupid" would be if their existing equivalent was damagaged or demolished. If what you have is broken, then anything is an upgrade. You may as well get the latest if your old greatest doesn't function anymore.

I saw the promo for this at gamestop... So aside from the cameras, they added all the things that the PSP already has.... So much for the "We just make game machines" stance. I'll stick to my regular DS.

Big pass. I still have my prized original style Electric Blue DS from when I graduated 6th grade (I had to pull a perfect Straight-A year for it, well worth the living hell that was). Sure, it's not able to be as bright as the Lite and later models, and getting customizing parts for it is no longer possible (finding replacement Styluses was a pain when the issued plastic one had a worn down tip), but it's just as good a game system as any other later model DS. Plus it's in a color no other DS type is in either.

Oh, and another drawback of the DSi: You can't use the GBA/DS pokemon exchange feature in Pearl/Dimond/Platnum if the DSi can't use GBA cartridges.

No hard drive? I thought all electronic devices including video game systems had hard drives.

not nessisarily, the DS has a watch battery that stores system settings and keeps time. if there's not data to save other then that, there's no point in haveing a HDD

Not buying it until there's a killer app that takes advantage of all the extra doo-dads they tacked on. I didn't buy a Lite, I'm fine with my original until it breaks or something.

Nope. No HD. Very few systems have them. DS's definitely don't.

Wow. I never knew that. Maybe the 4th version of the DS will have a hard drive?
