Wow, the TF franchise is getting some big-name sponsors. Too bad the product is less than useful...
If these were cheap, like in the $15 region, I might get them, but I just could't see paying more than that much for that particular rendition of Optimus and Megs.

I wouldn't get Megs, but Prime is a maybe. I'll need to see better pictures. I'm not too hep on the shoe halves hanging off his back/shoulders. The novelty is strong with this one though

Well, that's three bozos so far...

Well, it's not completionism for me so much as I actually like the robot modes for some reason. That and they're a very very unique thing to come up with in this franchise and I'd like to own something like that. I don't know if I'll by others if they come out with them, but I guess that really depends on how much I like Prime and Megatron when I receive them.

BBTS isn't the cheapest place and with the ad being in English and Nike being a big western company I see no reason to believe why these wouldn't leave Japan.

I really dislike the fact that not only do the laces hang down behind them in bot mode, but they are wearing the damn shoes that they turn into. I'll need to see more pictures before I make a final decision, but right now I'm not planning on getting these.

    EDIT:
I think they are, just with different heads.

Not bad. I give it a WTF factor of 85/100.

As much as I like the concept, I just can't buy them. And I jump on a lot of oddball stuff, but this is just not my cup-o-tea I guess.

EDIT: Wait! Anyone else notice that they are actually wearing the type of shoe they are when they are in robot mode?

    Sold.

So, they are the same mold... that cheapens the deal a little. But still. What next?

my first thought was "okay, Takara finally jumped the shark; little hentai transformers I can accept, but this, no."

On further inspection, though, they look great and I love the fact that they are wearing the shoes they transform into. I hope they come out in the states as I'm not likely to import them when I still have BW2 figs to get.

Such a high novelty value. Are these the same style nikes that hook to the ipod nano?

Yeah. TF World domination, rock on. I can't wait to see snacks and soft drinks with huge Autobot and Decepticon insignias in them.

The marketing has already started, and it'll be POWERFUL. It'll be Transformers EVERYWHERE, in EVERYTHING you can imagine, with kids sporting TF emblems in their clothes, running around with TFs. You gotta love that. I'm f*cking excited about 2007 and forth.

I don't care if I can't wear them (size 13), but if they're actually wearable by people with smaller feet, I have to buy them and find some to take pictures with them on.

I don't know why, it would just kick so much ass. These are as cool as any of the Real Gear robots (even if they're pricy as hell).

You know, with all the people saying they're getting a pair, I feel a little less silly now. :)

EDIT: Hmm... wouldn't these go nice with the Real Gear Robots from the movie?

I'm all for movie toys, etc...but it's getting to be a little Episode 1ish. I am a prime (as much as I can afford) completist, so I'll get him, but c'mon. I have to admit, it's a cool looking toy.
