    I just finally got around to installing it, and DANG it's just really cool!

    I especially like how you can zoom in on the various planets and moons.

    Pretty slick. Reminds me of the planetarium program I ran on my Apple II years ago, connected to my telescope.

    Celestia is fucking awesome. Add-ons for it are available here - starships, the monolith, etc.

    See if you can get your hands on Starry Night Enthusiast. That is a wicked awesome program that we used in my astronomy class (of course, we used the full version. I know there is a weaker one but I don't know if it is free).
