That's an odd nickname. Though I could understand how you'd get it.

    Me personally? Not many.

Smitty once or twice, and I generally tell them that's Granddad.

At conventions I often become Ak, from the screen-name obviously. I try and dissuade people from trying to pronounce aksmth. And every convention round I try and decide if keeping the name is worth the fuss that comes with it.

Superman- Yes, really, just because my last name is Clark. "hey, look it's Clark Kent, it's Superman!" and everyone thinks they are original by calling me Superman. Still happens frequently, though. Not a bad one, I guess...

And back in the eighties or so, someone would ask my name, and I'd tell them - "Gary Clark" and they'd say: "right, and I suppose you play for the Redskins as well" - there was a wide receiver on the Washington Redskins with my name... or did I have his name? We lived in Maryland, so everyone knew that name when he was playing.

And don't forget hairy, scary, fairy Gary, been a while since I heard any of that, though.

BTW, has anyone Seane Shane? :lol  sorry, man I had to. yeah, I'm sure you HAVE heard it ten billion times

    Could be worse. They could've been F.U.K, P.O.S, F.P.S, D.N.R, or B.O.B.

I had the nickname C.C when I was a kid because my first name is hard to yell, and my middle name is phonetically similar to my Dad's (Duane). For many years, though, I thought my name was Damnit, or OhShitt.
