me too, he was a comedic genius, and didn't have enough time to really show his range either.

He was one of my favorites.

It just makes me so mad that these guys who work so hard to become successful seeming just throw it all away by drinking and doing drugs.

I enjoyed him on SNL, but the movies that centered around him were only so-so. Out of respect for the dead, I won't say too much bad, but the means of his death didn't exactly make me say "There goes a great man". But still, I don't blame him necessarily- I don't know how it does it, but the TV/Movie star lifestyle just consumes so many people.

He's was histerical. Not only was he funny on SNL but some of his movies, like Tommy Boy, were great.

I never understood his sence of humor, which is ok for me. I think his death was a waste. As I understand it, and as it has been posted in this thread, he did entertain alot of people. Which is cool. I am sure if he had been able to fight his demons, he would have only gotten funnier now.

Well, he made an impact on many people, and his name still shows up quite frequently, like in SNL and in Adam Sandler movies, haha :)  Just the mentioning of his name still puts a smile on my face :)

    It's been that long already?

He was a great comedian, shame he didn't have a chance to do more.

Great article, I can't believe it's already been 10 years.
He had more talent in his pinky finger than all of the current SNL cast.
