Question for the Canadians here: How important is it for you guys to win the Gold for this World Cup of Hockey?

I'd assume more than the annual IIHF World Championships, but no where near as important as the Olympics, right?

A lot of players seem disinterested in playing from what I've been reading.

So Bruins tickets went on sale yesterday and had to pay $200 for Balcony 329. I'm going by myself so at least I had an option of finding an individual seat. It's crazy how much cheaper Bruins vs the Wild is. :cry

Just ready for the hockey season to start. The World Cup of Hockey will do in the mean time.

This is why I have never gone to a game at the Garden. $150 for ONE seat in the nosebleeds.

I hear ya, same way at MSG. But I don't think I'm going to go back. Kinda a bucket list thing to go to all the Original Six stadiums. After this, Toronto and Detroit. Going to try and go have a day trip for a Sunday RW/Rangers game.

Oh definitely. We're there for a long weekend so Freedom Trail, Aquarium, and Tea Party. Lot's of historic stuff in Boston.

Didn't US get crushed the next day?

I don't know, but the US beat Finland in a exhibition game and Quick has earned being the starter goalie.

I just want them to hurry up and name the team and show the jerseys and team colors.

I am actually not very surprised by them selling 16,000 season tickets. After living in LV for over 20 years, the people of the area have been wanting some kind of professional franchise for years. Close to 2 million people live in the valley from all over the USA (I myself was a transplant from Detroit). I really believe LV will be a terrific hockey city (until maybe the Raiders move there) and will also have huge crowds of fans for whatever team they are playing against.

I believe all four major sports leagues could flourish there. I guess I let some of these sports analysts get into my head.

If you get the chance, visit castle Island - Its a massive Civil War era fort right at the tip of Boston Harbor, also the Museum of Science is amazing, and there is also the New England Sports Museum, which is in TD Garden. If you have the extra coin, try and grab tickets to the legends club restaurant. Early access to the building, and VIP access to certain areas. My father and I got to watch the Red Wings do pre-ice warm ups playing soccer, talking with them for a sec, etc.
