It sucked. Very bad FX, and a big cop out of an ending. Can't believe I picked that movie to go to on Friday night instead of seeing it Saturday or Sunday morning when it's cheap. Or cheaper anyway.

The title of that movie reminds me of that Mtv dating show.

Good to know I didn't go see it. I was wanting to. Is it really that bad? Should I skip it altogether or should I go see it matinée?

I thought this thread was going to be about the hot talk show featuring the talent J-Dubs and El Hefe.

Thought it looked lame from the preview, and Cage looks lame in it, so I don't feel bad for missing it.

I hardly remember any of the movie. All I remember is the glaring FX problems and the ending. If I was you I will wait during rental or when you can see it for much cheaper.

In the commercials the FX looked cheesy so I never developed an interest.

Nicholas Cage has this issue of just being a bad actor. Yeah he won an Oscar, but I think the role he had in Leaving Las Vegas was just him playing himself. But with drugs/alcohol/etc.

    He was good in Adaptation.

    AND AWESOME IN GHOST RIDER!

Oh who am I kidding. That was one of the worst films I've ever seen.

His best role was Sailor in Wild At Heart. Or maybe Castor Troy.

That's a shame. I never really liked Dick's writing, but I always thought he had cool ideas that could (and sometimes did) make really cool movies.

Ooh, I loved Face Off. Nick Cage isn't that bad of an actor. But what can I say about his choice of movies? :lol

It's sad that his favorite role to me is his 5 second appearance in one of the fake trailers during Grindhouse.

    But I liked Face/Off, too.

    Nah, Raising Arizona FTW!

And when the title of the movie describes one's reaction to it ('Next!'), it can't be a good thing.

QFT, although some of his earlier films like Raising Arizona were decent, and even he was decent in Ghost Rider I thought, however this movie looked pretty stupid.

the story it was based on is actually pretty well written. Different than the movie in most respects.

It is called the golden man

The movie looked to have staggeringly little in common with the story save for the character's ability. I'm generally pretty accepting of the 'lower-tier' movies made from P.K. Dick stories (i.e. Paycheck/Screamers vs. Minority Report/Blade Runner), but this one looked too far removed.
