So I was really digging the RTS Rodimus figure, but couldn't bring myself to buy it because although I needed a Rodimus Prime for my classics, the figure was too short. Especially short when compared to Kup and Blurr. So my fix is simple, I found some feet from an unknown Gestalt, drilled a couple of holes, added paint, and now Rodimus has that little extra umph. Oh, and because it reminded me of the cartoon gun, I modded a KO Superion rifle to fit his hand.

That would be really awesome if he could transform back keeping the extra 'heels" you gave him.

Unfortunately they have to peg in. No other way around it.

Interesting idea; the height is the thing that bugs me most about that mould as well, and little stilts like that, if integrated properly, could do the job nicely. I've just had another look at my Wildrider, and I wonder if you could fix a big enough foot in replacing the existing heel spur as a hinge, and have that fold under the car in vehicle mode..? I think given the slope under the rear of the car, it could probably be made to work.

it works, I think I would have gone darker like his original feet, but it works.

Actually, I think the lighting made the boots look lighter. Also they're in a flat finish. Otherwise they look much closer in real life. I guess I should have finished the boots with some matte varnish, but I just got ahead of myself!

Hot Rod is a youth. He doesn't need to be as tall as the other guys.

And those are Gundam feet. Looks like he's wearing clown shoes now.

Ha,ha,ha,...yeah McDonalds...I know FP worked hard on that project, but it just looks too blocky for me. I wish it had been more streamlined.

I wasnt tryin to disrespect the figure, I was kinda makin fun of the 10 dollar Roddy colors, plus theres a MickeyDeez next to where I bought mine. Also Protectors head does look a little like Lion-0/Mel Gibson/Clown from Problem Child....
I love it though and am glad to have it.

Also, thats a great idea on the feet brother!

No offense taken :)  If Rodimus was a value menu item, he'd most likely be a whopper jr. Always trying to live up to the original, but always coming up short....
