You must be into politics or statistics. Either one is very heavy on spin.

If you look at the list, with the exception of the first 4, only Skids, Hoist, Jazz and Soundblaster (TFC only) had a general release. All of the other molds were either never released or eHobby/convention releases. So out of 22 releases, 14 (15 if you count the fact that Soundblaster was a Japan-only release) are either completely new releases or first time, non-exclusive releases. How on any logical scale does that prove your point?

Lame, wish they'd gone for Artfire if they were going to do a cool JPN exclusive instead of something that had already been reissued...

You're spinning just as much as he is. The cassette packs had new molds and old molds, yet neither of you are 'splitting the difference' on them but counting each whole thing in the way favorable to your viewpoint.

You're also ignoring some Hasbro releases like Thundercracker and Skywarp.

Ehobby/convention releases should also be viewed as a 'middle ground'.

Encore is not "re-reissue" dominant, but it's also not "new-reissue" dominant. Anyone claiming one way or the other is wrong.

So, scoring previously reissued as -1, new reissued as +1, multi-pack with new & old as 0, and previously reissued only in limited edition as 0 we get:

    That's -4. On the possible scale of -22 to +22, I'd say that's rather near 0.

As much as I want Artfire, I'd much rather have a CHUG Artfire. Maybe we'll get one from one of the Generations 2011 magazines this year (though the price will be high).

Point taken. But I never claimed it was 'new-reissue' dominant, just that the Encore line was not old and tired as many have claimed since most of them were exclusive or non-existent before they were released in the Encore line.

damn it. Takara once again kills the value of my previous investments. This hobby sure has its highs and lows.

I can live with this assessment.

I guess my problem is that they have not reissued anything that was exceptionally hard to find in a long time. Pieces like Soundblaster and Stepper were GREAT reissues, satisfying demand for TFs that no one could find. It seems that all we get now are the ones that have already been reissued or that can be found with little difficulty. Let's see some truly needed reissues like Artfire, Black Zarak, Wheeljack, TM Scourge, TM Cyclonus, Monstructor, and more.

This shouldn't hurt it anymore than the last time they were reissued...

I'm in. Very excited for these two, especially if they are in original G1 packaging. I would love Artfire as well.

One makes it sound like I think the Encore line is full of completely new, never before released molds. The other makes it sound like I understand that some are completely new releases while others are new, general releases of previous convention/internet exclusives.

Missed out on both of these, but i'm getting both of them this time!

I have Encore Constructicons on pre-order.

These are good re-issues, but i would like to see Sixshot, Trypticon, and maybe some others.
