Die-cast? No. KissPlayers is an all plastic line. Convoy was plastic, Hot Rod is/will be plastic, Autorooper will almost certainly be plastic too.

I didn't want to get this but Kremzeek and the road cones make it so tempting. Damn you Takara! You always know how to make me part with my money.

 

Thankfully a bud doesn't want Kremzeek so I get him when he gets Autorooper, YAYYY!!! 

 

Those cones are the laziest/funniest excuse for a TF weapon I've ever seen. The only way it could possibly be lazier is if the robot made a gun hand with its thumb and index finger.

Actually, the sound gimmick for that would make it worth it. Bonus points if they get a 3-year old to make the "P-CHOO! P-CHOO!" sounds.

You've misunderstood me, I know the figure has a new head etc, etc, my question is whether or not he will be plastic like the Alts or Diecast like the BT Meister that's released before him

Like he said, since KP Convoy was all plastic and we've received no reports that Hot Loddy Mas contains metal, I'd bank on "All Plastic" FTW.

 

Actually, Tokyo Hunter's review a week or so ago did mention that Hot Rod is plastic as did various japanese magazine previews. HLJ also confirms this.

 

That's just sad, it's basically paying more for a cheaper quality FTW in Japan  

 

YMMV, of course, but I don't see that "no diecast" = "cheaper quality". It may mean "lower production costs", but that's not the same thing.

Also, I can't help but think that diecast would hinder the remarkable posability of the Mirage/Hot Rodimus mold.

 

Everything about Autolooper x Atari looks LOL to me. Cone blaster, Kremzeek.

Rip off is what it is, people already paid a price for BT Meister, now it's remolded as Autolooper, I know it comes with accessories and all, but it costs more than a BT still. So in short, lower production cost, higher price equals to rip off. If Hasbro were to try that, y'all would start a lynch mob

 

Except that you could go on eBay and get hold of a repro gun barrel for next to nothing, that made Windcharger's "scanner" look DAMN cool.
However, the cone cannon will always be a ridiculous piece of crap design.
