I love that they do this, but my little 20 gig simply doesn't have enough room for all that goodness. I was juggling demos and TV shows just to download Transformers in 720p I hope they get Thief in there.

or you can own any of these games on disc from a bargain bin for less than $10.

So far Psychonauts is the only game they've released that isn't readily available everywhere.

I've seen Black in the cheap-o bins locally, but not so much NG Black. Besides, most of the time these cheap games are missing their original cases & manuals...so I'd rather wait to find them "complete" or just download them.

I've never played NG Black. What do they charge for the downloads? $20?

    QFT.
Microsoft came up with some great ideas on how to use the HDD that are severely limited by it's small size.

I have heard people say that Microsoft could have included an HD DVD drive in every 360, but I honestly don't think they could have done that and kept the price where people would have so readily adopted the system.

However, I do think that Microsoft's handling of the hard drives is something like price gouging. $100 for a 20 GB drive? $180 for a 120 GB drive those prices are just stupid -especially when you can buy a terabyte drive for $290. (And it's not even on sale!)
I might buy the larger hard drive which would make me more inclined to take advantage of the various download services, but the price just has to come down.

Back on the topic, Ninja Gaiden Black is a great game to add to your collection if you don't have it .
I saw some copies at Best Buy back when I was Christmas shopping. I think they were $15.

The upconverted graphics really show off what the original Xbox was capable of besides just ports of PS2 games.

You can hook up an external drive can you not?

If so, I will pick up Pirates or Black. Two games I missed out on.

You can use an external drive for movie files (like .wmv or divx), pictures and music. But many things are required to be on the official HDD or Memory Card -and most won't fit on the memory card.
(Someone correct me if I am wrong. I would love to be wrong about this.)

Here are the ones I can think of:
    Xbox Live Arcade games.
    Game saves.
    Themes and gamer pictures.
    Video rental downloads.
    Game updates.
    Demos.

So, you could conceivably only have two demos and two HD movies downloaded and be running out of space on the 20 GB drive.

Of the three Xbox Originals announced I can't imagine anyone having enough room on the 20 GB drive to download all of them at once.

I'm not to sure...You could probably run everything off of it. I don't see why you'd need the harddrive or a memory card, unless it won't let you save on anything but those two.

You need the Xbox HD to download and play any of these games.

An external HD can only be used for movies, images and pictures not bought from the Live Marketplace.

And these games will not fit on a memory card as they are about 4GB each.

As for the games, pass, pass and pass.
Still wish they would sort the backwards compatibility :(

i wish just one of the consoles would let you hook up a regular 3.5" hard drive in an enclosure via usb and let it work just like the system's own internal memory without any hitches. that would pwn everything.

Until they add achievements to these things I see no need to buy them.
