Actually, it's not a pack, it's individual downloads. The only one I would download is Tempest, unless Battlezone gets a nice makeover.

400 points is a steal. I don't feel like sifting through Wikipedia for the differences between the NES and Arcade versions. Is it anything major?

oh yes, Contra co-op over XBL! Count me the hell in!

the second link has interesting info:

So is the enhanced mode an enhancement of the arcade version or the NES version?

It is interesting because the link goes on to state:
The arcade version had 5 levels and the NES version had 8...as can be verified here...So I am wondering if this will be some actual hybrid of both versions? Or did they just simply cut up the 5th level?

Apparently the Konami code is going to work with Contra. Nice nod to all the NES fans.

Tempest is by far the best game produced by pre-split Atari, i'll seriously consider hitting that up for the revamped version despite being the fact that I usually pass on this stuff in favor of playing them on my PC with my arcade panel.

Its a crime that the Data East library is the hands of some Japanese mobile phone company, i'd pay out of the arse for a revamped Midnight Resistance.

Data East, now that's a company I would love to see some XB Live games from. Them, Taito and Technos (the guys who made Double Dragon).

Aside from having a killer 80s catalouge, Taito made some awesome games towards the end of the 2D era that could easily cut it on XBLA without any significant updates.

Saying that thougth, you just know that Puzzle Bobble will be the first game they do put up if they ever get in on the action.

I'll say. Tempest is the only game I've found that comes anywhere near Robotron: 2084's level of seizure-inducing mania.

Played some Contra last night, it feels a little different playing the arcade version, but yep the Konami code worked like a charm. :)

Contra is yet another great conversion from those Konami dudes. Namco would do well to take note. Assholes!

Man. I want an XB360 this year, but I'm still very against paying a monthly fee for XBL... I want to pay for my games, but play them online for free dammit.

But things like this almost make me want to. Almost.

I couldn't get it to work. What exactly did you do? IIRC, it is pause, UUDDLRLRBA[start], yes? Am I missing a BA set?

    You don't need to pause.

At the title screen, use the d-pad and press:
up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, start
