Oops. I mean "Wolverine" cartoon, co-starring the X-Men.

    My bad.

That's what it probably would have been no matter what they called it. At least they're being honest and upfront about it.

Since when is Wolverine the best X-Man? And no Gambit? Disappointing. Why don't they just re-run the old series? Or better yet, re-run the X-Men and Spiderman (not the original. the one that aired around X-Men) cartoons in an hour long timeslot!

    Interesting.

I'm suprised why they didn't use that title for the trio of movies.

That art reminds me of X-Men Evolution, I mean obviously it's different. But still I saw that pic and thought X-Men E. Even some of the character models seem to follow what they looked like in Evolution

That's not much of a stretch, in X-Men season 2 Xavier was walking in the Savage Land due to a side effect of Sinister's Mutant power disruptor. So a belt's not that much of a stretch

I'm so sick of that art style. It definately has an Evolution look to it. Oh how a I long for a complete DVD set of the 90's X-men series.

You know... I'm seriously getting sick of Wolverine. After the movie fiasco -that and he's supposed to be getting his own movie sometime soon- among other things... they really just need to seperate him from the X-Men. Personally, I think he's one of the most cliche characters in comic history. And don't even get me started on "Origin"...

Well, at least they dropped any pretence of anything X related being about anyone else.

Question: are we SURE this is apart from X Men Evolution? I haven't seen XME in quite a while, but don't those look EXACTLY like they did before? Are we sure this isn't just a sequel?

XME was going to come back for another season but it got rejected mostly due to the WB becoming CW ... or whatever. So anyways, it got scrapped/canned ... I'm sure this is the same animation team doing it, but I'm sure it will also be its own storyline and new voice actors.

Since about 20 years of X-stories and solo books focusing on Wolverine. 15 years of him guest starring in everyone else's books, and 8 years of Marvel retconning the hell out of him so he was in action in World War II, and getting busy with Elektra when Daredevil wasn't looking. (Can Daredevil actually "look"?)

The animation's a bit different, a bit less realistic and more stylized/exaggerated, with less streamlined designs. It's not the same animation team doing this, though Greg Johnson will be one of the main story editors just like he was with Evo, which at least gives me some hope for the series.

Anyways... we'll see. I have a REALLY hard time believing it'll beat Evo, though. Especially since, seeing that Xavier's walking, they may have forgone the pseudo-realistic universe of the movies, and, to a slightly lesser extent, Evo, and instead just stuck much more closely to the comics. Bleh. I'll reserve real judgement until I've seen the first few episodes, though.

Meanwhile, still waiting for the fourth season of Evo to come out on DVD...sometime...

My thoughts on the picture in order.

Damn thems some skinny legs on old Logan there. He looks tall, lame.
Who do we have here, it would be lame to have Cyclops taking a back seat so… Colossus, Beast, Rouge, is that Kitty? Who’s the guy in red Sunspot? I have no idea. Bald guy must be Professor X, oh good he can walk cripples are depressing.
