I am using the Gundam Paint markers for some of the sentai minip-pla, and am noticing that the primary colors, like blue, red, and yellow, are not taking very well the first few times. am i missing somthing as a base coat?

i use alcohol pads to help clean the surface, and i do the cleaning multi times. but the black seems to take very well.

any helpful tips or advise with the gundam markers would make my life a little less stressful.

Sounds like you need to use some primer.

I just bought a primer for plastics but any good primer will work. On vinyl toys, for instance, rust oleum works like a charm. Not really sure it matters.
