Because there will always be a market for fakes that try to look exactly like original G1? I've heard people saying they'd rather have the chinese KO prime than the encore reissue. I don't get the 'well I could never find or afford it, so now here's my opportunity to finally have it' mentality with counterfeit reproduction/exact misb lookalikes because it's not the 'it' you've always wanted that you're getting. It's not even a 'Transformer' (in the brand sense).

You posted this on the other thread too. I can understand your argument but, at the same time, I just want the G1 look. I don't care if it's an original or not and I'd never say to anyone "yeah, that's an original Swoop" when it's not.

I'd like to know how you feel about the TRU/Japanese book reissues. Using your point of view these aren't originals either - they're reissues of toys from the 80s despite the fact that they are officially licensed by Hasbro/Takara/Tomy. They came from the same molds, have the same quality (in some cases, better quality), and have the name Transformers. So they should meet your criteria (as I'm understanding it) as a "real" toy, right?
