Which is a good thing. They've been showing just a little bit more of the scenes we've seen before, getting people excited and intrigued without outright revealing what's going to happen. It's great that for a two hour movie we know so little because trailers and TV spots are supposed to get people to see what the film is about not summarize it so that people can then go and see how the scenes actually unfold. That's why people complained about Batman v Superman and Spider-Man: Homecoming for showing too much; people can piece what will happen in the films. Taking Spider-Man for example, we can guess the structure of film, Vultures motivations, how the boat scene plays out, the consequences, how Spider-Man operates from that point etc. We don't even know the full story that goes on with Optimus and it gives people something to look forward to.

    Seems a little pointless.

The Creators aren't the Transformers, so, why complaining?

And sincerly, they never said that Megatron was the "first Transformer", but that he was the first one to be discovered, they though that simply because they didn't find nothing else, or, as RotF showed, nothing that they truly considered as alien stuff.
And the Ark on the Moon happened in 1961, nothing so problematic, even because they explained that Sector 7 took those informations.

And, from what it seems, that "They have been here forever" is not refered to the Transformers in general, but to the Knights of Cybertron.

This movie is expanding what we already know and is connecting the previous movies, and sincerly, we have confirmations of this fact from the trailers and the tv spots, considering that we have seen the Ark, the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Knights Ship, even a Energon Detector and Hong Kong.
This "new mystery" will contain the explanation why the Transformers came always to Earth.
We already now that the Transformers have been on Earth before, the trailer refers to this fact.
We have simply to see what Sir Edmund Burton hides in his castle.

    PG-13?!?!? WHAT THE F*CK!?!? :banghead:

Well I guess NOW I won't be seeing this. :mad

:lol  Nah, I was gonna skip on it even before that. :D  Also, will the rest of America stay in, too?

Personally, I think it'll do better than TF4 (that one was pretty low). But it's hard to ignore how boring these films are getting to American audiences. :(  And knowing this, will Bay switch anything up to improve on the last film? (Cause it seems like he always goes through the same motions and tropes of all of his action films).

We had dinobots last film... now it's... what? Time travel? Evil Optimus? What's the hook?

No, no... I meant, "What's the appeal for the average movie-goer?"

The stuff you listed is the fan junk. I don't think the average ticket buyer even knows what a "Cybertron" is. :lol  It's some sort of gadget that gives the Transformers life, right?

I watched some previews. I didn't see any of that stuff in the previews. I did see explosions. And jail bait. And... I really don't even remember (much like my memory of the plot of TF4 - it was about prisoner dinosaurs?). :lol

You have no sense of humor.

Also, that wasn't a clever response. You could just say, "I'm not sure what's most appealing to the average movie-goer. "

The topic is TF movie fatigue (which a number of reputable sites will discuss), so excuse me for asking some of you guys what you think about that! :(  Talk about touchy movie-fans! :lol
