Dude, nobody said it won't work.... we are saying that we have tried the plasti dip method and over time (3-4 months) it begins to dry out and flake of. It is a temporary fix at best. We are just trying to offer you our experiences with the product.

sounds pretty cool. in such cases of ball joints, i just use superglue

you can use it and wen you put the superglue into the ball joint,.. pop in the joint and just rotate it until the glue hardens and creates a thicker layer.. way faster

Would putting the super glue on and leaving it to harden before popping the joint back on work as well?

That wouldn't distribute it equally. It would just make the balljoint less round, to the point where it probably wouldn't fit into the socket anymore.

Depends on what kind of glue you're using and how you apply it. I use a brush-applied liquid superglue, which works out to be pretty self-levelling. As Jericho suggested, I generally just brush a thin coat all over the ball and leave it to cure before re-assembling.

Man, I used to have a brush one but it fell into some tea and I've never been able to find another one. The company (I forgot who) switched to a tube from what I can tell.
