At long last!
I think that music they use in the first scene is stolen from last year's Doctor Who finale, but I haven't watched that in awhile, so I could be wrong. Otherwise, I thought this trailer was a bit dull.
Yup, the music is the theme for Torchwood. I wonder if they have permission...
Waaaaaooowwww.... that looks pretty crappy.
I mean, seriously... it's like a lower budget sequel to Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future. Or perhaps better described as Terminator's future, but all the machines "transmorph".
To be fair, I know this is an uber-cheap indie film, and I sort of have to applaud them for doing something so obviously ambitious on such a small scale. I used to really enjoy B-movies... but this one doesn't quite look like it's gonna deliver the fun.
The music from the "action" portion of the trailer is Ministry's Just One Fix. Wonder if they have permission for that too?
Wow, I thought that thing was a joke when you guys posted it a while back. Looks bad, but in a fun, watch it drunk with your friends sort of way.
I don't know if I would describe it as "ambitious"..... more like opportunistic. If this were just a one-off dystopian robot movie that some indie film director had been working on for years, I would applaud him and pity him the bad luck that he is going up against a much bigger-budget Hollywood production.
But this studio subsists on making quickie copies of blockbuster movies in an attempt to cash in on overflow audience.... they've done it for countless other films. Not that they don't put effort into them, but they're not exactly a beacon of indie creativity.
Ah well, imitation is the sincerest for of flattery, I suppose.
I like that the name of the file is "Online_trailer_DO_NOT_ERASE." For some reason, that's funny.
That was hip.
They gots Ministry playing in the background as well.
Dammit, now I have no content for my post.
I like that we have this little glimpse into the web design process here.
you know, i hope this ends up as an easter egg on the 2k7 tf movie's dvd.
its a cool april fool's joke that just went too far. lol
this is a joke right cuz that is just plain silly
Oh it's no joke. From the same people who released Snakes on a Train direct to dvd the week before Snakes on a Plane came out in theatres.
wow, i didn't realize when they did the april fools joke that they were using a real movie. it didn't even hit me that the website was the asylum, same ppl that did snakes on a train, man, i can't believe someone is actually doing this lol
Lame-o was his name-o.
For a movie being made with practically no budget, people really shouldn't be expecting Hollywod level FX. For a budget film, this looks like a blast, especially with a few beers, a pizza and some buddies over.
-Says the admin that's got the Transmorphers avatar & sig!
I've never been afraid to promote something that looks like dumb fun.
Oh man that looks crazy. They did a 'cash-in' clone of War of the Worlds a couple of years ago that looked slightly less 'low-budget'. Only just, mind.
Okay, let's take Skynet DOWN!!!
