RotF Mix and Match book Transformers and Philosophy And probably the most interesting listing on there: Revenge of the Fallen Voice Changer (Although it is listed in Reader's Disgest Children's Books, and it seems underpriced. Still, I never heard of a "voice changer book" before now.) There's also some "Mix Flr" listings which seem new to me: Transformers, HarperCollins Publishers, Item - Barnes & Noble Transformers, HarperCollins Publishers, Item - Barnes & Noble Transformers 24c Mix Flr, HarperCollins Publishers, Item - Barnes & Noble
"Transformers and Philosophy?" Oh good lord, no. I'm getting bad flashbacks from that horrible A&E special about mythology and Star Wars. Any movie or TV show can be bent to line up to philosophy or religion. I'm just sad that someone's cashing in on doing it to Transformers.
Well, Transformers storylines have had religion for years (albeit a fake religion with a giant robot god that the characters in the series don't even know about), so it was only a matter of time before somebody got some philosophy out of it.
I saw these, but didn't know they were new. I woulda posted this. So "Transformers and Philosophy"? Interesting.
Gonna wait a bit to see if any more info about it is released, but that Philosophy book sure sounds interesting. I've always liked the religious aspect of TFs.
I normally abhor those random "random crappy media franchise & philosophy" books, but I'll cave for a transformers edition. I hope they don't just try to make it go exclusively with the movie - I want to see some stuff on G1 Megatron's "peace through tyranny" schtick.
