Sounds ok. Jagex made Runescape , which is a fine game, but it's using strategies from 1995 in game development. If they do do this I hope it's the same model as runescape in that it's free with optional objectives only obtained for a monthly fee.

Interesting. Wasn't there an announcement some time back that a Japanese company would be bringing a Transformers branded MMO out?

Probably one of the best partners Hasbro could have worked with on this. And I say that as someone who dislikes Runescape.

I have high hopes, but the western MMO is hard to break into with the 10 million strong WOW player base.

Jagex do good things, even if I was never fond of Runescape I can see its appeal.

a MASSIVE Character Creation tool will be KEY to this games success, NO ONE is gonna want to walk around as the same character as the guy next to him.

I hope this game isn't an MMO. I've outgrown the ability to see grinding as fun.

hmmm. Im a huge gamer. and im not so sure im interested in a TF mmo.

I like games with depth, that take awhile to beat and such, but I have a few buds that are warcrackheads. Ive talked to em about the game, and its addictive because you NEED to spend the time to level up so you arent completely worthless.

For me, that kind of game just doesnt fit with my lifestyle. Just got waay too much real life stuff to dedicate myself to a mistress, er..game like that. Im prolly the minority.

I LOVE WFC, but I still say the best TF game made yet is ROTF.

My ideal TF game would be a GTA or RDR style game with a complete sandbox world. I would also like a game to delv into the "disguise" part of transformers. I mean..every game it dosent matter if your a car or robot..they always know...but it would be real cool to have subterfuge and espionage missions using a TFs alt mode to get by stoopid humans and other TFs.

And Another thing I would like is a detailed damage model. "awww crap...heavy damage, im stuck in car mode until I find health..."

I guess I cant visualize what a TF mmo would be like. it just dosent seem interesting to me at all

Chinese company named NetDragon was contracted to make a Transformers MMO for the Asian markets and I have first hand experience with their games and its anything but good, I am more hopeful with today's news. But I shall wait and see what develops.
