He definitely has the whole "Gonna get ya" vibe in his bot mode, I'll be getting one ASAP when it hits stores.

Nightrain you commented briefly about the posability of the figure. From what Ive seen it looks like they are fairly limited like the Armada figures were. Is that your take as well?

 

Shit that looks awesome. Yes, the vehicle mode is miles better than the robot mode, but it's about damn time robot modes started looking different. I might have to pick up the Decepticons from this line to boost the evil army...

I'm cautiously pumped about the movie, but these two rounds of photos have me more and more excited about the toys...my Pile of Loot will start growing substantially next summer.

Also, is that light piping I see on the back of his head?

 

Agreed. I love the movie figures we've seen so far. I wonder if they are going to stick with the Classics sizes only (Deluxe and Voyager), or if we'll be getting Ultra and Leader sizes back?

 

He's got a face only a mother could love. Pass; I've got my Alternator Mustangs.

 

For a few bucks more they could have made him Alternator quality. The car mode is still better and more realist looking than the Brawl one.

I like him. The alt mode is pretty sweet. The bot mode isn't too bad. Too bad about the head movement, but there's an interesting look to him.

There's still a decent chance there will be Alternator quality figures coming out. It's already been confirmed there will be numerous different price point and scale figures coming out for the movie and it makes sense he'll have multiple versions made. These smaller toys are perfect for the kids who watch this film as they're simple and cheap for parents, yet look similar to their movie counterparts. They're also the perfect size for the 'average' action figure so they work well with other toys. My guess is the bigger they get, the more collector oriented they will become.
