Cool. Not surprising at all. We've known he'll be in Animated for a while now. Hopefully he'll be getting a toy too (Voyager would be prefered). Would be even better if we get Shockwave in Universe and the Movie sequel too.

 

Awesome.. maybe we will find something out about this at the panels at Botcon in a week or so.

Come on, they're brining back the space bridge-of course they're going to have Shockwave sitting around back on Cybertron. Of course, he won't be a gun anymore...

 

I hope they show some concept art for Animated Shockwave at Botcon, I'm really interested to see how much like G1 Shockwave he is, and what alt. mode they picked for him.

 

It could also be for the GI Joe of the same name. a 25th style Joe Shockwave would be just as sweet as a Classics TF Shockwave.

 

Well we know that there is a Animated Shockwave as the voice actor confirmed it. Classics Shockwave? Maybe they will do something with the Titanium Shockwave they showed on the Hasbro Tour last year at Botcon. Doubt that Shockwave will be in the movie it would be confusing with Soundwave being in it.

Nice to see him getting his name back finally. Not sure why anyone thinks he won't be a gun anymore - they seem to have forgotten the existence of Classics Megatron. Realistic toy guns may be illegal in the States, but I don't think anyone ever accused Shockwave's altmode of realism...

 

I would LOVE a Encore Shockwave or a Classics/Universe Shockwave. That would RULE!

 

Shockwave should be in everything. How 'bout them apples?!

I don't think they should make the characters exclusive to any one line or series, what does it really matter any way? If anything, people will buy what they want and in many cases they will buy every line they can afford. I really hope they do release Shockwave in the Animated AND Universe lines (as a retool) because fans of both lines would love to get this character. Just a thought Hasbro.

 

Whatever line he's in, Shockwave will be more than welcome.

Yeah I want a Shockwave too. But in G1 he was Megatron's loyal servant, loyal to a fault, in Animated that role & colour is already being taken by Lugnuts, so what sort of character will Shockwave animated be?

 

Only in the cartoon. Everywhere else he was after the top spot as much as Starscream was - after all, it was only logical that he should lead. But that same logic dictated he bide his time, and feign loyalty for as long as necessary until the time was right to take over.
I think there's room for Shockwave in Animated (which is good, since we're getting him anyway).

 

Trademarks? Why bother spending all that money Hasbro? Nobody gives a crap about your trademarks and copyrights anyways. Giant waste of money you could spend on developing more transformers that can be counterfeited down the road.

 

Yeah, Shockwave is definitely a character that shouldn't get the "either/or" treatment when it comes to Animated & Classics - he needs to be in both. As far as I'm concerned, he's as important as Prime, Bumblebee, Megs, Starscream, Soundwave, etc. Plus I would just like to see the differences in designs between Animated & Classics.
