New Toys Great for Stop Motion Films - Starscream Added

I've been using the new toys for stop motion films, espicially Optimus Prime who is extremely sturdy. Thought You guys would be interested in seeing some of the stuff.

This is from reenacting a scene in the film. In case you're wondering what the original clip was, Its in the link posted right below mine.

The exact clip that I'm refering to: (first 20 seconds only)
    !!clip Removed!!

Here is one i did with Ratchet
    at 20 frames a second

Probably my worst one so far but i decided to experiement with stop motion of something in the air. So decided to make starscream transform mid flight. Do let me know what you guys think though i'm aware its not one of the better ones out there.

These are a few more that I did

Those are very good, especialy Prime/Ratchet/Ironhide beating Thok! But there are two things I would suggest:

    1. Transformations are a little slow, especialy when characters like Ratchet seem to be in a hurry.

    2. Don't post links to pirated footage here, it is generaly known a rule that it's not allowed.

    AhA!

    Removed the clip.

Yea .. the 2 transformation clips are actually reenactments from the film. Thats actually how long they took in the movie to transform. You'll hear the sound of the transformation in the bg.

    Thanks

The one with Prime transforming had my jaw drop! That's some nice stopmotion skill you've got there!
You really sold another Leader Prime there. And I was going to wait till they became cheaper :(

Be careful. I buy these toys because I'm into making stop motion films and Transformers are a great fit for them.

I have heard from people that from a collector's point of view (or to actually play with them), the toy has problems .. like fading paint and stuff

Yeah, I hear of other movie toys that have the problem, but your skill at stop-motion is amazing.

You're the guy who made that starscream video!?!? great. I've been meaning to throw my toy into action but i haven't yet.

I run stopmotionfilms.com if you ever want your stuff posted there.

how many frames/second are you using and what program. other than the TF transformation videos, i stick to 8 as most things i make usually last over a minute.

    Yup it's me :D
I usually stick around 20 fps, but on some cases I mess around with the settings to se exactly which runs best. I'm currently using monkeyjam, but as soon as I get something better then a crappy digicam that eats batteries for breakfeast I'll look into getting stopmotion-pro.

Might also note that I'm also the guy behind Transformers Classics: The ultimate battle

Thats my favorite one of yours. Saw it 4 days ago.

    20 frames is very smooth.

Hmm .. should join forces on a project : )

Pretty good! But I think Prime is mis-transformed in the first clip. The crotch area is not clipped in. But the animation and use of the movie bg music was great!

The hip misclipping is the only thing I noticed, but I also am a big fan of the toy. ;)  Very nicely done, especially the feeling of a lot of parts moving at once.

And I don't think I've heard about many Q/C problems with Leader Prime, though I didn't really keep up after I got my own.

Screamer came out pretty good. The Prime one is my favorite so far. Keep it up though. :thumb

Awesome, love the camera rotating around Prime while he transforms.
