Yes, I got a new camera, and I built a new indoor enclosure for our pet tortoise, I even installed light fixtures in it for her UVB lights. Anyway, she was just a hatchling in the last pics I posted, here are some new ones. That white power you see in some of the pics is calcium powder, I sprinkle it on her food, but usually as soon as I put food in front of her she's on it, so she ends up getting it all over her.
holly crap... why would a tortoise need claws like that??? I guess with the white powder I could see maybe a long pinky nail, but thats it...
They eat stuff that grows in the yard, clover, dandelion, grass. They can also eat most store bought field greens except for spinach and iceberg lettuce. The claws are for digging, in their natural environment they are burrowers and live in tunnels. EDIT: Her name is Dyna She's about as big as my fist now, they are supposed to have about a 6-8" long shell fully grown.
